SummaryResponsible for field investigations, special inspections, material testing, project management, and authoring on‑time reports.
Responsibilities- Project coordination and project management of special inspections and construction materials testing
- Perform special inspections, various field inspections, and materials testing as needed
- Report preparation and review
- Supervise and support project team
- Implement quality assurance and assurance of field and laboratory adherence to technical standards and applicable codes
- Engage in continuing education to develop skills and keep certifications current
- AS / AAS or BS in Civil Engineering, or related is preferred
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certificate from a State Board
- Special Inspection Certifications through the International Code Council (ICC) and/or the American Concrete Institute (ACI)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Functional knowledge of industry practices and regulations, NY State Building Code, and engineering standards
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers, and clients through clear communication and proactive progress reporting
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects with unique schedules and budgets
- Familiarity with construction materials, procedures, and documents
- Valid driver’s license
$25 - $32/hour
