Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-discipline teams in the planning, design and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure and/or treatment facilities throughout the region.
  • Assist in leading the continued growth and development of the Western New York water practice.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
  • Engineering Drawings:
    Create complex engineering drawings to support communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Engineering Solutions Design:
    Design engineering solutions and the validation process to meet functionality, performance, aesthetics, and cost, conforming to standards.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment:
    Monitor and improve HSE KPIs and address noncompliance with policies and instructions.
  • Technical Developments Recommendation:
    Recommend technical developments to improve software and infrastructure to meet users’ needs.
  • Personal Capability Building:
    Develop own capabilities through assessments, training, coaching, and maintaining external accreditation where relevant.
  • Testing:
    Develop product specifications and test procedures and standards.
  • Technical Troubleshooting:
    Manage troubleshooting projects, diagnose issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Research:
    Achieve goals within established research systems.
  • Project Management:
    Deliver small- or medium-scale projects within an established program plan.
  • Waste Management:
    Manage segments of waste management, including reduction programs, segregation, compliance, storage, transport, and disposal.
  • Client & Customer Management (External):
    Manage relationships with small clients and assist senior colleagues with larger key clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Registered NYS Professional Engineer is required or ability to obtain it
  • At least 8 years of municipal water experience including experience in the state of New York
  • Water and wastewater planning, design (collection systems, pump stations, wastewater and/or water treatment facilities), construction experience a plus
  • Stormwater design and MS4 planning a plus

Salary Range: $112,000 - $188,000 based on experience.
