The Department of Electrical Engineering of University at Buffalo is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to support research efforts in wireless UAV networking. The initial appointment is for one year, renewal is expected if progress is satisfactory, and funds are available.

• Conduct cutting‑edge research in the development and operational management of microwave and mmWave software radio used for projects related to zero‑touch wireless UAV networking.
• Conduct experimental and field work, including the design, fabrication, and test of UAVs and field experiments of the UAVs’ sensing and communications.
• Collaborate and communicate with internal and external collaborators on ongoing projects.
• Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in academic journals and/or conference presentations.
• Participate in grant writing, including generating preliminary data, submitting grant applications, and preparing progress reports.
• Mentor students on related research projects.
