** Onsite – Buffalo, NYThe Demand Planning Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the alignment of customer requirements, production capabilities, and supply chain readiness across defense programs. This role integrates long-range planning with tactical execution to support mission-critical deliverables, compliance with government contracts, and program milestones.

As our Master Planner & Demand Manager, you will translate complex program requirements into executable schedules, align demand with supply, and ensure materials, capacity, and teams are ready to deliver on-time, every time. Your work directly supports program milestones, warfighter readiness, and customer trust.
** As a Demand Planning Manager, you will:
**** Demand Management
*** Develop and maintain demand forecasts for defense programs, incorporating contract requirements, customer forecasts, and program schedules.
* Collaborate with Program Management, Business Development, and Finance to align demand plans with strategic objectives and funding profiles.
* Lead demand planning activities within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework.
* Monitor forecast accuracy and drive corrective actions to improve performance.
** Master Planning
*** Create and manage the master schedule to support program deliverables, contract timelines, and inventory targets.
* Coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Engineering to ensure material and capacity availability.
* Analyze constraints and risks across the supply chain and develop mitigation plans.
* Maintain planning parameters and BOM accuracy in ERP systems.
** What You will Own:
**** Plan the Mission
*** Build, validate, and continuously improve
** demand forecasts
** aligned to customer orders, funding profiles, and program schedules.
* Lead monthly
** S&OP
** reviews to align Sales, Program Management, Operations, and Finance.
** Schedule for Certainty
*** Create and manage the
** master schedule
** to meet contract deliverables and inventory targets.
* Translate forecasts into
** MRP actions**; synchronize materials, capacity, and engineering changes.
** Execute with Discipline
*** Identify supply–demand gaps and drive mitigation expedite, alt-sourcing, lot sizing, and capacity plans.
* Support production, development cycle, and end of life transitions with structured planning and clear cutovers.
** Partner Across Programs
*** Serve as the connective fabric between
** Product Line Managers, Program Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering**.
* Participate in
** program teams**; support
** EVM
* * with credible schedule/material status and risks.
** Operate Compliantly
*** Ensure planning and data integrity comply with
** FAR/DFARS**,
** ITAR/EAR**, and internal quality standards.
* Maintain planning parameters, routings, and BOM accuracy in ERP.
** Tools You will Use.
*** ERP/MRP: MBS/SAP (or equivalent)
* Forecasting/Analytics:
Kinaxis, Power BI/Excel
* Program Practices: S&OP, EVM support, IPT collaboration.
