Sr Product Engineer

Lead, Technical - Solenoid

Onsite – Buffalo, NY

• Rocket engine components and fluid control devices for bi-propellant, mono-propellant and cryogenic rocket engines.
• Valves for environmental control and life support on crewed space vehicles.
• High performance fluid control valves and systems for other space applications.

• Have Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or comparable field of technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, 8 years of experience preferred.
• Have proven ability in writing detailed work instructions.
• Have a deep understanding of pneumatics, pressurized systems and relevant valve experience.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with manufacturing, assembly and test teammates.
• Have self‑starting instincts, solid analytical skills, and a strong sense of ownership for responsible products.

• Provide assembly/test instructions, training and monitoring to maintain production.
• Assure and maintain design integrity, producibility and quality in development and production products.
• Develop and improve tools, fixtures and test equipment.
• Responsible for engineering analysis to assess non‑conformances or technical issues that occur during assembly and test.
• Lead RCCA analyses that ensure long‑term solutions to prevent recurring problems.
• Lead customer presentations or technical review meetings.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to work through roadblocks and ensure on‑time delivery of hardware.
• Participate in hands‑on prototyping of new products during the development phase working closely with the design team.
• Mentor and coach other product engineers within the group.

Buffalo, NY $80,000.00–$ Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
