Senior BMS Infrastructure Engineer - Data Center

A leading-edge technology firm specializing in mission-critical infrastructure is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience in building automation systems. Role title: Head of Northeast Building Automation Team at LVI Associates

Location: Buffalo, NY (Hybrid or On-site)

Compensation: Base up to $225,000 | Total Compensation up to $300,000

• Design and implement software solutions for building automation and control systems
• Develop integrations with BACnet, Modbus, and other industry-standard protocols
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to optimize system performance
• Build scalable APIs and services for monitoring, diagnostics, and remote control
• Lead efforts in fault detection, predictive maintenance, and energy optimization
• Ensure cybersecurity and operational standards for critical infrastructure

• 5+ years of experience in building automation, controls engineering, or related software development
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or C++
• Deep understanding of HVAC systems, control logic, and automation protocols
• Experience with SCADA systems, BMS platforms, or IoT frameworks
• Familiarity with data center environments or other mission-critical facilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally
