Who are we looking for?Our Northeast Engineering Design Organization (EDO) is actively seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to work on the design of HVAC and plumbing systems across commercial and industrial facilities throughout the region. In this dynamic role, you’ll be involved in every stage of the design process, from initial concept to final project layout, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance solutions that meet our clients’ evolving needs.

Responsibilities- Solutions Analysis:
Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature. - Personal Capability Building:
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities, as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. - Operational Compliance:
Identify, within the team, instances of non‑compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate. - Product and Solution Development:
Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems. - Design and Conceptualization:
Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services. - Operating Machine or Equipment:
Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.
- Associate’s degree in Design/Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related technical field; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3–5 years of HVAC and/or plumbing systems design experience for both the private and public sectors; previous consulting experience highly desired.
- Must be familiar with HVAC load calculation software.
- Must have experience with preparing building mechanical system drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proven ability to devise approaches to problem resolution.
- Ability to be proactive and take ownership of the task involved.
$31.00 – $64.00 per hour based on experience and location.
