Power Generation Data Center Lead
HDR is seeking a Power Generation Data Center Lead to join our Power Generation Practice. The role requires extensive client interaction, collaboration across multiple market sectors, and leadership of multi‑disciplinary project teams.
Who You AreYou are passionate about the nexus between data centers and supporting infrastructure, with an emphasis on Power Generation Development and Engineering. You have leadership experience and thrive in a collaborative, matrix organization.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead Power Generation consulting services for data center and mission‑critical projects.
- Coordinate Power Generation, Power Delivery, Data Centers, Due Diligence, and Industrial services leads.
- Oversee coordination, quality, and timely completion of Power Generation projects or programs supporting data centers.
- Serve leadership roles in projects and pursuits as needed.
- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to develop power generation solutions for data centers.
- Build and maintain client relationships, marketing initiatives, and project execution meetings.
- Present at industry and client events to support HDR brand awareness.
- Master’s degree in business or engineering.
- Expertise in power markets and rapid deployment of power technology.
- Experience supporting large demand customers such as data centers.
- Experience with regulated and non‑regulated utilities, independent power producers, municipalities, and other public and private clients.
- Knowledge of electric power systems, market participants, energy contracts, project finance, and utility‑scale and distributed power generation technologies.
- Strong client development and management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to travel for in‑person client meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, estimating, scheduling, and project management software. - Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
