Position Summary:

Responsibilities of this position will include interpretation of federal, state, and local agency regulations. The role also involves analysis, oversight, and review of project work products such as site-specific technical data, calculations, technical reports, construction plans, cost estimates, environmental permit applications, and permit terms and conditions. These responsibilities will be applied to the civil, environmental, and solid waste industries. Some on-site work and short-term travel may be required.

The position will also involve building client relationships, supporting new business development activities such as proposal preparation, and assisting with cross-selling opportunities.

* Plan, develop, coordinate, and help direct work for multiple projects and clients. Typical workload consists of five or more simultaneous projects and timelines.

* Review work products and provide feedback to promote consistency with Tetra Tech standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and provide best product for the client.

* Manage multiple staff contributions to projects; coordinate and schedule milestones and final deliverables.

* Support the work of others and maintain quality control on projects and on managerial (administrative) tasks.

* Work independently to perform project tasks, design, calculations, and reporting to meet the project specific requirements.

* Be a point of contact for clients and maintain a positive relationship with clients.

* Assist with proposal development, including creating technical plans, schedules, and cost estimates, and coordinating preparation with staff and clients.

* Help support strategic initiatives for continued work with key clients and business sectors.

* Manage multiple smaller company priorities and projects.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or above in engineering or related environmental field

* Professional Engineer license required

* Experience - 10+ years minimum in a related field

o Solid waste management

o Leachate Management

o Landfill Construction Quality Assurance

o Site Civil

* Regulatory knowledge is required

* Excellent communications skills, both written and oral

* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to think and act critically, independently and strategically

* Solid organization and time management skills

* Self-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environment

* Proficiency with computer usage for document preparation including Word and Excel

* Working knowledge of computer-aided design software

Preferred Qualifications:

* New York regulatory experience is a plus

* Civil 3D experience preferred

* Established client relationships are a plus

* Project management experience a plus, including budgets and invoicing
