Travel: Occasional

Role Overview

We are seeking a Sr. FPGA Engineering Manager to lead a team of approximately 5 FPGA engineers while remaining hands‑on with FPGA development. This role is approximately 30% team leadership and 70% technical/individual contribution across the FPGA development lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of FPGA design experience
• Strong VHDL experience
• FPGA development and verification
• Model Sim
• Engineering team leadership/management experience
• FPGA simulation, testing, and debugging
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Willingness to work onsite in Elma, NY

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage approximately 5 FPGA engineers
• Assign projects and monitor technical delivery, cost, and schedule
• Provide technical guidance and career development
• Derive FPGA requirements from system specifications and interface protocols
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Create and execute verification procedures
• Support FPGA simulation, testing, debugging, and documentation

Nice to Have

• MATLAB/Simulink
• SPI, I2C, RS-422, RS-485, or MIL-STD-1553
• Aerospace/space or embedded systems experience

U.S. Citizenship is required. Remote candidates will not be considered.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working onsite in Elma, NY and performing both engineering management and hands‑on FPGA development
