The Cage Cashier (Primary Position) is responsible for cashiering duties within the Casino Cage, and is scheduled to fill the Cage Shift Supervisor (Secondary Position) position, as needed. The Cage Shift Supervisor assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Cage Department and provides excellent Guest Service. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
** 1.
Maintains and reconciles all assigned casino assets during the course of a shift or gaming day. 2.
Allots jackpots to slot attendants for payment to guests; distributes and collects slot attendant banks. 3.
Distributes and collects cashier banks. 4.
Orders monies through exchange slips. 5.
Redeems chips, tickets, etc. for currency and coin. 6.
Completes cash advances, cashes personal checks. 7.
Processes and delivers exchanges to cashiers. 8.
Uses coin sorters, wrappers and currency counters; counts down station/float/bank, puts coin away and verifies money received from vault/bank/drop. 9.
Conforms to all rules and regulations of SGC CTR / SAR Compliance. 10.
Issues counter checks (markers) to credit customers and/or issues funds represented by counter checks; accepts payments toward outstanding counter checks. 11.
Accepts and distributes funds representing patron deposits, withdrawals, and wire transfers. 12.
Maintains remote kiosks for redemptions, purchases, jackpots, etc. as necessary. 13.
Prepares, verifies, and processes chip fills and credits. 14.
Maintains counter check inventories and deposits; processes transactions affecting those inventories. 15.
Maintains accountability for assigned keys and key inventories. 16.
Provides any assistance as needed to immediate supervisor.
17.
Remains thoroughly knowledgeable of all appropriate regulations.
18.
Maintains the confidentiality of all gaming records.
19.
Works closely with team members of gaming departments and casino cage departments. 20.
Maintains a current understanding of all policies and guidelines regarding information security, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understands and complies with all information security policies and procedures at all times. 21.
Provides exceptional guest service to all guests and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with peers, supervisors, managers, and all other team members. 22.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. 23.
Completes all required SGC Training programs within specified guidelines from commencement of employment. 24.
Attends all necessary meetings. 25.
Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed; other duties may be assigned. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
** ADDITIONAL SECONDARY POSITION DUTIES:
** 1.
Completes required Cage forms and reports as needed/required.
2.
Provides direct supervision to Cage Cashiers during assigned shifts. 3.
Assures Cage Staff provides quality customer service to the guests of Seneca Casinos. 4.
Provides training, administers performance evaluations, reviews request for vacation/personal time, leaves of absence, etc. and administers coaching/corrective action as needed/requested. 5.
Creates, maintains and/or assists in providing reports to the Cage Manager on schedule changes, team member changes, etc. 6.
Monitors, evaluates, and presents solutions to existing and potential problem areas. 7.
Assists with verifying cage accountability as needed/required. 8.
Authorizes casino checks. 9.
Monitors and maintains departmental inventory of working currency, coin, forms, equipment, (radios, coin counters, coin wrappers, currency counters, computer systems, printers and calculators) etc. 10.
Assesses equipment problems and determines when repairs are needed; coordinates service efforts. 11.
Participates in continuous improvement teams as assigned and contributes input, information and solutions to help improve the department and organization. 12.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. 13.
Completes all required SGC Training programs within specified guidelines from commencement of employment. 14.
