The opportunity
Delaware North is hiring a Vice President, Corporate Controller to join our team at our Global Headquarters in Buffalo, New York. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee global financial accounting, operational reporting, and shared services strategy for a global leader in hospitality. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be a key leader in creating and evolving the company’s finance shared services vision and executing that vision across finance functions.

PayMinimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $219,300 – $301,500 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.

Lead global accounting operations, including record-to-report and revenue integration functions
Oversee preparation and integrity of consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP and international standards
- Work with internal and external customers to understand business requirements, drive supporting processes, and establish service level agreements to ensure requirements are understood and met within agreed upon standards
Drive the vision and execution of finance shared services, including outsource strategy and vendor relationships
Establish and monitor service level agreements and key performance indicators to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Manage audit processes and relationships with external auditors across multiple jurisdictions
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a strong control environment
Partner with corporate and subsidiary finance leaders to optimize cash flow and enhance forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, including leadership roles in global organizations
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and disclosure requirements
- Proven ability to effectively communicate to and influence senior stakeholders on complex issues
- Previous experience managing and developing large teams
- Strong business acumen and experience with a financial background across multiple disciplines
- Embodies and models a client-service focus in all interactions
