Job SummaryThe registered nurse provides daily nursing care to patients following established policies, procedures, and standards of practice. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, patient and family teaching, and working cooperatively with healthcare team members to maintain professional standards and participate in quality initiatives.
Responsibilities Education- Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
- BSN preferred
- Current NY State RN registration
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire/transfer
- Preferred: 1 year med/Surgical experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to interpret data and draw conclusions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of the Nursing Process
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and ability to teach health maintenance
