Provides technical direction within an assigned section or subsection of the clinical laboratory. As needed, performs prompt, accurate, and reliable laboratory procedures on patient specimens and evaluates, interprets, and reports test results to the appropriate patient‑care personnel.
Education And CredentialsBS or BA. Must possess a bachelor’s degree verified by NYSDOE as meeting bachelor’s degree requirements for full licensure of a clinical lab technologist required. Lab Tech Limited Permit required. Lab Technician within 9 months required. NYS DOE — Full Clinical Laboratory Technologist License upon hire required OR laboratory technologist limited permit required not necessarily prior to hire, however prior to starting.
If working with limited permit, must obtain full licensure within 9 months of hire.
Requires 4 years clinical lab experience as a technologist. Requires 2 years within the past 6 years performing laboratory tests for which the position is responsible to monitor.

Salary Range: $ 41.92 - $53.09
