We’re looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable Exercise Specialist to join our team at the Clarence Medically Oriented Gym (MOG). This part‑time role includes a mix of morning and afternoon shifts and offers a unique opportunity to work with both medically compromised and general fitness populations. - Deliver high‑quality MOG services, including member evaluations, exercise prescriptions, personal training, stretching services, and specialty programming.
- Lead engaging group exercise classes with a focus on safety and proper technique.
- Track member progress, enter data, and support retention through relationship‑building.
- Assist with revenue‑generating services and report monthly membership metrics.
- Address day‑to‑day member questions and ensure a positive experience.
- Participate in staff meetings, community outreach, health promotion events, and support student interns.
- Collaborate with and report to the MOG Director.
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a closely related field (required)
- Current CPR/AED (hands‑on) and First Aid certification (required)
- Personal Training certification from a nationally accredited organization (ACSM, NASM, NSCA, etc.) preferred
- Group Exercise certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM, etc.) preferred
- Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to problem‑solve, multitask, and work independently
- Passion for fitness, patient care, and helping individuals improve their overall well‑being
