Intake Manager

Position available at our Administrative Office in Buffalo.

This provides clinical and financial oversight of the intake process and ensures compliance with internal policies, as well as regulatory policies.

• Oversees intake practices to ensure all applicants are pre-approved for financial payments, including congregate care II, SSI, SSD, Managed Care, or other third party payee.
• Provides supervision of the intake coordinators.
• Manages and assists with timely intake processes including intake interviews and LOCADTR completion.
• Ensures intake coordinators are able to assist applicants and families with understanding treatment options to help reduce fear and other attitudes that obstruct acceptance of care and continuation of treatment.
• Assesses, coaches, and develops the intake team’s skills in assessment, patient, and family interaction.
• Ensures professional relationships with referral sources and addresses complaints related to intake from external providers.
• Receives and coordinates all referrals to include notification of insurance providers for prior authorization and services covered.
• Creates, revises, and implements the schedule of the intake department.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Three years’ paid full time intake or similar clinical experience, including management experience in intake substance use disorder, dual diagnosis or geriatric patients.
• QHP preferred
• Must possess a valid NYS driver's license
