SummaryThe Educator Clinical Applications associate is a Registered Professional Nurse with responsibilities that include the development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive clinical educational programs and clinical information systems applications for caregivers in order to meet the regulatory and business needs of Catholic Health Home and Community Based Care (HCBC). Serves as clinical consultant to nursing and support staff in multiple organizations with various levels of care.
This unique position focuses on education in subacute, long term care and assisted living environments and provides a variety of opportunities, skills, and knowledge.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or a Healthcare related field required
- BSN or BA in a Healthcare related field strongly preferred
- Licensure and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
- Minimum two (2) years clinical experience with at least one (1) year experience in a residential health care facility required
- Minimum of one (1) year teaching/training/precepting experience required
- Minimum of one (1) year electronic medical record (EMR) experience required
- Adult learning/teaching experience including virtual learning preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical processes and operations
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Receive NYS CNA clinical instructor certification within 13 months following hire
- Technical knowledge of computer applications strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated skills with personal computer applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to train associates in appropriate job functions
- Ability to establish good working relationships with associates at all levels
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a car available for work use
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to facilitate discussions, brainstorming sessions and team processes
- Ability to proactively analyze and anticipate impacts of any changes or modifications, technical or operational to a complex clinical environment
- Intermittent sitting, standing, walking
- Travel between facilities required
- Occasional weekend and evening work
