Certified Sterile Processing Technician
Northtowns Ambulatory Surgery Center
We are looking for a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The technician decontaminates and prepares surgical instruments and equipment for use in operating, procedure, and endoscopy rooms. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, performing regular equipment checks, and assisting in patient positioning when possible.
Responsibilities- Decontaminate and prepare all trays, instrumentation, and equipment used at the surgery center.
- Reprocess instrumentation between cases in a timely manner.
- Perform regular equipment checks such as autoclave QI programs and maintain records/logs.
- Assist in moving and positioning of patients as time allows.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, especially when transitioning surgery suites between cases and assisting with terminal cleaning at the end of the schedule.
- Certification in sterile processing required within 6 months of hire date.
- Entry level experience preferred.
