Job Description

Summary:

Under the direction of department leadership the incumbent is responsible for the supply chain management activities within the Pharmacy including ordering of pharmaceuticals and supplies, receiving of orders into various information systems, purchase order creation, processing of invoices for payment, establishment and maintenance of par levels.

The buyer will also work with vendors and suppliers regarding contract negotiation and compliance.

Education And Credentials

Responsibilities:

High school Diploma or GED required.

Experience

Other information:

2 years of experience in Pharmacy operations and purchasing required. 2 years of experience in Business skills, contract management, inventory control, cost allocation preferred. 2 years of experience in Microsoft office and specific Pharmacy purchasing software preferred. 2 years of experience in the 340B Program preferred.
