Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a growing behavioral health team. This role focuses on providing high-quality mental health care in a friendly, supportive office environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient evaluations, including relevant medical history and health assessments based on presenting symptoms
  • Identify patient needs and develop differential diagnoses using clinical findings
  • Perform waived urine testing
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a supervising physician
  • Prescribe and manage pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
  • Provide patient education and appropriate referrals as needed
  • Conduct systematic follow-ups and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal mental health outcomes
  • Facilitate patient access to appropriate mental health services using cost-effective care models
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant medical records
  • Promote patient safety, advocacy, and quality care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current and valid New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Registered NP or PA in good standing
  • Active DEA license
  • Meets NY Department of Drug and Alcohol Program requirements to perform H&Ps and prescribe medications
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Prior medical office experience preferred
Preferred Experience
  • Five (5) years of related clinical experience
  • Master's degree
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
Required Skills
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare data management systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
