This position offers a base pay range of $19.59/hr to $24.81/hr the role is part-time, scheduled between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., requiring work on shift 2.
Job DescriptionThe Medical Equipment Processing Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards for decontamination, visual inspection, and operational verification of small medical equipment, including IV Pumps, PCA Pumps, SCD Pumps, Epidural Pumps, and Wound Vac. The technician ensures proper PAR levels on the Patient Care floors and ensures that equipment with issues, overdue PM inspections, or failed verifications is not returned to service but sent to an appropriate Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) for repair and PM inspection.
Educationand Credentials
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate of Applied Science preferred.
Experience1 year of experience in a Hospital or Nursing Home environment working with Universal Precautions is preferred.
