Physician Assistant - Hospitalist/Nocturnist

Location: NY

Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM; 7 on/7 off

Position Overview

Provide hospitalist/nocturnist coverage as a physician assistant in an inpatient hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general medical care to hospitalized patients
• Examine and evaluate patients upon admission and throughout the hospital stay
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging studies
• Coordinate care for hospitalized patients and communicate with primary care providers regarding patient status and post-discharge follow-up
• Document patient care in the electronic health record (Epic)

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Physician Assistant license
• Board certification
• AHA BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospitalist or relevant clinical experience
• Epic experience
