Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant General Manager (Rooms Division) at The Richardson Hotel in Buffalo, NY. The Assistant GM will oversee daily operations of the Rooms Division, which includes front office, housekeeping, and guest services teams. Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, upholding quality standards, and meeting financial and operational goals. Additional duties include staff training and development, addressing guest concerns, analyzing key performance metrics, and promoting collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing operations within the Rooms Division, including front office, housekeeping, and guest services
  • Proven leadership, team management, and staff training skills
  • Strong communication and customer service orientation aimed at enhancing guest satisfaction
  • Proficiency in operational analysis, financial management, and performance reporting
  • Knowledge of hotel management systems and hospitality operations
  • Ability to work collaboratively, maintain flexibility, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous management experience in a luxury or upscale hotel environment is a plus
