M&T Bank is seeking a Dev Ops / Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Automation team. This individual will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and supporting the environments, pipelines, and tools that enable the delivery of high-quality applications and services across the bank. The ideal candidate brings experience automating infrastructure deployments, managing hybrid environments, and collaborating with development and testing teams to optimize CI/CD processes and ensure operational reliability.

• Build, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment across multiple environments.
• Provide day‑to‑day infrastructure support for developers, testers, and operations teams.
• Participate in software release, deployment, and environment maintenance activities.
• Manage and optimize build and deployment processes using tools such as Git Lab, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Support and administer both Windows and Linux environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve environment‑related issues and streamline delivery workflows.
• Write and maintain comprehensive system and process documentation.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for operational and production support.
• Drive process optimization and automation initiatives across environments.

• 3+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation roles.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or Azure Dev Ops.
• Strong scripting skills in Power Shell and/or Linux shell (Bash).
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with both Microsoft and Linux platforms.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory
  , LDAP, and identity management.
• Experience with Terraform
  , Ansible, or other Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.
• Solid understanding of networking, system security, and monitoring principles.

• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with vSphere or other virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable.
• Strong documentation and collaboration skills using tools like Confluence and Jira
  .
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
