Field Engineer - Apex Systems

Work schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shifts (40 hours/week) with potential overtime. Travel requirement: up to 50‑75% (must have own vehicle; mileage reimbursement, 300 weekly mile radius).
We are seeking a Field Engineer to support client data centers by resolving hardware and infrastructure issues. This role requires hands‑on experience with enterprise‑level systems and a strong understanding of data center operations.
Base Pay RangeUS $20.00 /hr – US $25.00 /hr
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across IT infrastructure, including client and multi‑vendor enterprise systems, servers, storage, and networking.
- Perform rack and stack, hardware installations, disk drive and memory replacements, and hot swaps.
- Utilize software tools for daily operations and troubleshooting in a data center environment.
- Provide client‑facing support with professionalism and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with team members during a 45–90 day training period; not expected to work solo during this time.
- U.S. citizen with valid driver’s license, car insurance, and mailing address.
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with servers, cables, racks, workstations, routers/switches, and network infrastructure.
- Experience in data center environments preferred.
- Strong client‑facing communication skills.
- CompTIA+ certification is a plus.
