CTG is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer IV to lead enterprise infrastructure automation, platform engineering, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on expertise in Power Shell, Ansible, Terraform, and automated infrastructure provisioning, along with 10+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise environments.

This role requires a senior technical expert who can design scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions; automate infrastructure deployment and operational processes; optimize SQL Server environments; and collaborate with architecture, application, database, security, and operations teams. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, establish automation standards, improve operational efficiency, and support enterprise production environments.

• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and technical lead for platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Power Shell, Ansible, and Terraform

• Implement IaC practices to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, environment standardization, and repeatable deployments.
• Develop reusable automation scripts, Ansible playbooks, Terraform modules, and deployment workflows to improve consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Leverage 10+ years of SQL Server experience to support enterprise database infrastructure, configuration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and operational automation.
• Automate routine infrastructure and SQL Server administration tasks, including configuration validation, health checks, monitoring, patching support, backup verification, and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with database administrators, application owners, cloud engineers, security teams, and infrastructure operations to deliver integrated platform solutions.
• Design and implement automation workflows that support provisioning, configuration drift detection, environment management, and infrastructure lifecycle operations.
• Integrate infrastructure automation with version control, code review, testing, and CI/CD pipelines to promote controlled and repeatable deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, automation, deployment, and SQL Server-related issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing platform processes and identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention, improve reliability, strengthen security, and lower operational costs.
• Establish automation standards, reusable code practices, technical documentation, and operational procedures aligned with enterprise architecture and security requirements.
• Support production releases, change management, disaster recovery, business continuity, audit readiness, and compliance with internal controls and risk policies.
• Lead technical planning for complex platform initiatives, manage dependencies and risks, and coordinate implementation across multiple technology teams.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, knowledge transfer, and mentoring to engineers and operations teams.

Work under the direction of a Senior Technology Manager, providing advanced technical expertise in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, IaC, and SQL Server environments. Contribute to platform strategy, solution architecture, automation roadmaps, project execution, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with technology leadership, enterprise architecture, database teams, application owners, security teams, and vendors to develop secure, scalable, and supportable infrastructure solutions. Influence technical standards and promote automation-first practices across enterprise platforms.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to platform engineers, infrastructure specialists, and database professionals. Guide automation design, IaC development, scripting standards, troubleshooting, testing, and implementation practices.
