Location: Hybrid remote opportunity across Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, New York City, Rochester, Syracuse, Uniondale, and White Plains, NY.

Description: Harris Beach Murtha seeks a senior associate or senior counsel‑level attorney to join the collaborative business litigation team.

• Represent our clients in courtroom and mediation/arbitration proceedings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Research factual and legal issues and collaborate with senior attorneys on strategies.
• Draft memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, briefs, etc.
• Examine records and transactions underlying business disputes and investigations for potential client claims.
• Commit to working in a variety of commercial litigation practice areas.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide comprehensive legal support to our clients.
• Maintain a minimum of 1,800 billable hours annually.

• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience in complex commercial litigation and/or bankruptcy preferred.
• Admission to the New York bar required; admission to the Connecticut and/or Massachusetts bar preferred.
• Federal or state judicial clerkship experience preferred.
• Juris Doctorate from an ABA‑accredited law school and active, in‑good‑standing bar membership.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• High organizational skills for prioritizing workload.
• Rapid absorption, processing, and understanding of new information.
• Maintains high performance standards.
• Conscientious, dedicated, self‑disciplined, and responsible.
• Professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities at various organizational levels.
• Military experience welcome.

Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester, Syracuse: $138,000 – $175,000
Uniondale & White Plains: $148,000 – 175,000
New York City: $159,000 – 175,000
