Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Material Requirements Planning Analyst located in Buffalo, NY .
What you'll get to do:
This position requires analysis of manufacturing, ERP, and other material requirements based on needs of assembly demands, component replenishment, substitute parts or materials, production set ups, engineering changes and enterprise supplies.
Resolve schedule, material requirement or business system problems with cross-functional and team representatives.
Generate part or material requirements and initiates production and purchase change orders.
Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
The ideal candidate must have demonstrated analytical skills required for determining priorities, lead times, shop floor schedules, basic understanding of ERP systems, and must be proficient with MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. This position is fully on-site.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with 2 years of experience;
Master's with 0 years of experience; OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.Experience in a supply chain, material management, production, repair and/or depot environment.
Experience interpreting part list.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
MRP and/or PC experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Excel.
Experience analyzing data and identifying trends.
Experience with ERP systems.
SAP, Shop Floor, and MPLM experience.
Salary Range: $61,000.00 - $91,600.00
