Production Supervisor

Overview

As a leader in the packaging industry, Philpac, a local family-owned business, celebrated its 40 th anniversary in September of 2022. Philpac is currently seeking a full-time Production Supervisor based in Kenmore, NY, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

Philpac is looking for a Production Supervisor who will support the team by assisting with the work during vacations or periods of heavy order activity. The goal of our company is to create a friendly work environment and to provide exceptional customer service.

• Supervising the employees and delegating work orders for completion as scheduled
• Inspect the quality of finished product
• Monitor inventory and materials used daily
• Work closely with management to maintain on time deliveries and work order scheduling

In addition, the Production Supervisor will support the team by assisting with the work during vacations or periods of heavy order activity.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Preferred 3-5 years prior woodworking experience
• A minimum of one year’s experience operating a forklift
• The candidate must be reliable and dependable
• An understanding of how to use a tape measure as well as the ability to read it
• A basic understanding of mathematics is required
• Requires the use of hands & arms frequently
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50lbs on a regular basis
• Frequent requirement for standing, sitting, walking, kneeling and crouching
• Climbing stairs and ladders occasionally required
