The candidate will ensure that the Mozzarella Packaging department is operating properly.

• Analyzes and evaluates information concerning daily operations and how these results positively or negatively affect department performance.
• Ensures department is running in a smooth efficient manner, completes supervisor rounds as required.
• Works with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMP, GSP and QC policies and procedures and proper maintenance of equipment.
• Suggest and debate alternative methods and procedures in problem solving procedure.
• Participates in operating budget, goals, and objectives of the department and works toward meeting and/or exceeding these expectations.
• Monitors punches and ensures there are sufficient personnel including temporary hours.
• Completes all records and charting as required.
• Meets regularly with shift supervisors and sanitation supervisor to stay informed about all issues arising in the department.
• Conducts department employee meetings on a monthly or bi‑monthly basis.
• Performs administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely and professional manner. (Phone calls, voice mail, paperwork, meeting presentations).
• Responsible for hiring and scheduling required within the department, including temporary staff if necessary.
• Actively works on the production floor to facilitate the exchange of data between various departments.
• Maintains open communication with all employees including department managers.
• Implement special projects and procedures as directed.

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or dairy science preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer software:
    Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • 3-5 years of Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform a multitude of tasks.
  • Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Shift: 12‑hour shift (6:00 pm - 6:00 am) Alternating weekends off.
