GTI specializes in design, engineering, fabrication, and deployment of custom modular structures, shipping container-based solutions, and ballistic metal fabrication. We serve DOD contractors, military, disaster relief, and commercial markets, with all solutions built in-house at our Buffalo, NY facility. Our manufacturing capabilities range from military training enclosures, live fire ranges, bathroom/shower units, expeditionary camps, medical facilities, water treatment systems, and energy storage enclosures.
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Assembly Technician to assist in mechanical and electrical assembly for our modular fabrication projects. This role involves blueprint reading, power tool operation, and hands‑on construction tasks to support heavy industrial assembly in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Base pay range$22.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Industrial Assembly & Construction- Industrial Assembly Technicians will perform skilled repetitive assembly operations to support production.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings to ensure accurate builds.
- Industrial Assembly Technicians will use power tools and mechanical measuring equipment for assembly tasks.
- Complete sheeting, trimming, plumbing, and general construction as required.
- Clean parts prior to production use when necessary.
- Industrial Assembly Technicians will maintain precision and adherence to safety protocols throughout all tasks.
- Support inventory handling, cycle counts, and material transactions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team‑building activities.
- Ensure workplace cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Industrial Assembly Technicians must have 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly and/or general construction.
- Experience in heavy industrial assembly, including mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Industrial Assembly Technicians must have the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
- Proficiency in using power tools and mechanical measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently on complex projects with minimal guidance.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel as required.
