Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Job SummaryBFG Manufacturing Services is seeking a Machine Repair/Maintenance Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing both repair and preventative maintenance on all machinery and supporting equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with our production team.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and supporting equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment to minimize breakdowns and maximize operational efficiency.
- Conduct safety inspections of all equipment to ensure compliance with safety protocols and identify potential hazards.
- Accurately log all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent, for accurate record‐keeping and future reference.
- Work closely with production workers and other team members to identify and resolve maintenance issues and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to assist in the overall success of operations.
- Physical Ability:
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. - Technical
Skills:
Knowledge of electrical systems, electric motors, plumbing, pumps, and related machinery components. - Mechanical Aptitude:
Strong mechanical skills with manual dexterity to handle small parts and equipment. - Problem‑Solving:
Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues quickly and efficiently. - Computer
Skills:
Basic computer skills to log work and maintain accurate maintenance records. - Teamwork:
Ability to collaborate effectively with production teams and other departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in mechanical or electrical systems is a plus.
- Previous experience in machine repair or maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
