Job SummaryThe Production Supervisor – Day Shift is responsible for leading a team of operators and production staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing. This role drives daily execution on the production floor, while developing employees, optimizing workflow, and maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement. As a startup facility, this leader will help establish operating standards and shape culture from day one.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and output goals
- Build, train, and coach a strong production team; foster accountability and problem-solving
- Prioritize schedule execution and ensure on-time product delivery
- Drive compliance with plant safety programs and participate in Safety Committee activities
- Maintain accurate ERP entries for inventory, downtime, and production reporting
- Monitor scrap, yield, and efficiency metrics; identify and implement improvements
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality to minimize downtime and ensure specification compliance
- Maintain clean work environments through 5S practices
- Support startup and commissioning activities as production scales
- 3+ years of production experience in manufacturing; extrusion or plastics preferred
- Experience leading or supervising production teams required
- Strong understanding of safety practices and standard work
- ERP or manufacturing systems experience preferred
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Flexible and willing to support evolving startup needs
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts as assigned
Salary Pay Range: $25.00-$35.00 per hour dependent on experience*
Bonus/Incentive Pay: A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
