Manufacturing Lead - Injection Molding Technician

As a Manufacturing Lead and Injection Molding Specialist, you will oversee production floor operations, drive process optimization, and mentor a high-performing team. This role is pivotal in maintaining machine efficiency, ensuring rigorous quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all production cycles.

• Optimize injection molding processes and cycle times to maximize output while maintaining strict product quality.
• Lead technical troubleshooting for injection machines, vision systems, and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime.
• Conduct advanced process analysis to identify root causes of defects and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Supervise daily shift activities, including team huddles, workflow coordination, and resource allocation.
• Manage personnel performance, including onboarding, cross-training, and professional development coaching.
• Enforce safety protocols, GMP standards, and 5S initiatives to ensure a clean and efficient production environment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and planning departments to execute preventative and emergency equipment repairs.

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting injection molding machinery.
• Advanced knowledge of resin behavior, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse production teams.
• Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and data management.

• Technical certification or degree in a related manufacturing field.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality standards and food safety protocols.
• Prior experience in high-volume plastic closure or packaging manufacturing.
• Familiarity with programming and maintaining machine vision systems.
