YOUTH PASTOR

Overview

Calvary Assembly is seeking a relational, visionary Youth Pastor to lead a thriving ministry of 70+ students and a strong team of adult leaders in the suburbs of Rochester, NY. This is an opportunity to shape a student ministry that’s deeply rooted in discipleship, outreach, and fun, while helping teens discover faith, friends, and their future. The right leader will be a passionate communicator, a team builder, and someone who can create a true sense of home for students at all stages of belief.

This role emphasizes building a ministry where students feel known, loved, and challenged to grow, with support to lead with vision.

• Provide leadership and vision for a youth ministry serving 70+ students, including program design, discipling students, and outreach efforts.
• Discipline a culture of discipleship, missional outreach, and relational care for students and families.
• Recruit, equip, and develop adult volunteers; foster a healthy volunteer culture where people feel valued and invest in youth.
• Partner with parents, church staff, and other ministries to align vision and maximize impact.
• Communicate clearly, cast vision, and rally students, leaders, and families toward shared goals.
• Balance program implementation with relational leadership, ensuring personal outreach to students at various stages of belief.

• Relational pastor with a track record of leading teens and equipping adults to do the same.
• Ability to pastor teens with truth delivered in a relevant and heart-connected way.
• Catalytic leader who can cast vision and move people toward the ministry’s goals.
• Excellent communicator who can articulate direction and foster engagement among students, leaders, and parents.
• Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented; able to think ahead and maintain smooth operations without drama.
• Strong community builder and team developer who prioritizes adult leader care, recruitment, and retention.
