RN - part-time; Family Planning Dept

RN - part-time (Family Planning Dept.) at Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc.

The Community Health Center of Buffalo (CHCB) is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Family Planning Department. The RN will deliver nursing care under the supervision of the Family Planning Medical Provider.

• Provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants.
• Triage patient calls and visits.
• Offer case management and care to patients requiring nurse-only visits.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Assist Medical Providers with examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine diagnostic tests and collect/process specimens.
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
• Review lab results and report abnormal findings.
• Manage supplies for patient rooms and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Maintain the integrity of medical records and provide patient education.

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of one year experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Three years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
• Experience with an Electronic Medical Record System.
• Experience working in Family Planning is a plus.

This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Some evening work may be required.

Salary Range: $32.87/hr - $39.68/hr.
