Job DescriptionPractice of Advanced Practice Provider/Nurse Practitioner may include the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician qualified to collaborate in the specialty involved, provided such services are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols. Adheres to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
EducationAnd Credentials
Completion of masters, post‑masters’ or doctorate NP program accredited by CCNE or ACEN required. Current active RN and NP license in NYS required. National NP certification required for internal hire:
Required upon transfer into new position; external hire:
Required at the time of application. Current BLS, ACLS required. DEA or DEA eligible required.
Completed RNFA if in OR required. Agreement from appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement required.
ExperienceAt least 2 years of clinical nursing experience required. Two (2) years of clinical experience in specialty area of practice (i.e., neurology, NSGY) as RN or NP preferred.
