Job Title: Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care)
Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00 – 07:00) | 36 hours/week

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Rochester, NY. This is a high-acuity critical care environment where the RN will care for complex patients with life‑threatening conditions, utilizing advanced technologies and interventions.

• Unit: Critical Care/ICU (CICU)

• Beds: 16-bed unit

• Patient Types: Sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest/TTM, respiratory failure/shock

• Advanced Therapies: CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, Impella

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2 (occasional 1:1 based on acuity)

• Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Orientation: 16 hours (non‑billable)

• Locals: Not accepted – must reside more than 75 miles away

• First‑Time Travelers: Accepted

• Active NY RN License (must be in hand – no exceptions)

• Strong critical care experience in an acute care hospital

• Proficiency in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced therapies

• ACLS and BLS required

• Facility Type: Tertiary Care Hospital

• Charting System: Epic

• Scrub Colors: Navy and white (any combination)

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
