Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown – New York

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM. Floating to other units as needed based on facility requirements.

• 64-bed Medical-Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit with diverse patient population
• Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal/dialysis patients, COPD, CHF, isolation cases, pneumonia, and general medical-surgical conditions
• Specialty equipment experience includes IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• EMR system: EPIC experience required
• Adult patient demographics
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for this specialty unit

• Active and unrestricted New York RN license
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Medical-Surgical experience with stroke stepdown experience
• Documented travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be obtained prior to start date if not currently held)
• EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred
• Skills checklist and current resume demonstrating relevant specialty experience
• Valid driver's license
