Job DetailsPosition:
Experienced Supplier Quality Specialist (Boeing Defense & Security – BDS), East Region Supplier Quality Team, Western New York geographic area.
Location:
Western New York – full onsite. Candidates must possess a valid Driver’s License and own a vehicle for business use.
- Plans, organizes and conducts audits/assessments of supplier’s systems, processes, and products
- Documents and reports audit/assessment results
- Performs product verification to assess compliance with applicable requirements
- Assesses capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work
- Investigates and resolves concerns to ensure compliance with requirements
- Provides education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues, and company initiatives to improve supplier performance and productivity
- Performs data analysis to determine engagement strategy at suppliers
- Reports status of supplier performance
- Plans, prioritizes and manages daily assignments
- Participates in Program and Production Readiness Reviews at suppliers
- Exhibits strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
- Minimal travel outside of New York and Pennsylvania areas
- 3+ years working in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Supplier Management
- 3+ years experience in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
- 3+ years experience with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), ISO 9001, AS 9100)
- 3+ years experience with First Article Inspections (AS 9102)
- 3+ years experience in Manufacturing Planning
- 3+ years experience reviewing, analyzing, and understanding contractual documents
- 3+ years experience using Excel for data analysis
- 3+ years experience reading engineering blueprints/drawings
- 3+ years experience with J-STD-001 standards
- 3+ years experience in the Aerospace Industry
- 5+ years experience performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review
- 5+ years experience with Supplier Quality processes
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) concepts and applications
Position may require local travel up to 75% of the time. This role is for 1st shift.
Export Control RequirementsThis position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.12 is required. (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.)

Compensation and BenefitsSummary pay range: USD $95,200 – $128,800. Benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time away from work.
