The Dasgupta Lab in the Department of Cell Stress Biology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. We seek highly motivated candidates to join our multidisciplinary research team exploring the interplay of epigenetics, metabolism, and immunity in cancer progression and metastasis.
Roswell Park, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center established in 1898, provides a stimulating academic environment with world-class facilities in proteomics, genomics, metabolomics, molecular biology, and immunology.
Research Focus AreasOngoing projects in the Dasgupta Lab include:
- Tumor metabolic adaptations that promote metastatic progression.
- Mechanisms of organ-specific tumor adaptation and metastatic colonization, with a focus on bone metastasis.
- Epigenetic regulation of aggressive tumors, including how nutrient signaling and metabolism modulate histone acetylation/methylation and chromatin accessibility.
- Nuclear receptor/coactivator-mediated transcription in hormone-dependent tumors and mechanisms of therapeutic resistance.
- Tumor-immune microenvironment and mechanisms of immune escape.
- Genetically Engineered Mouse Models (GEMMs), patient-derived xenografts (PDX), syngeneic tumor models.
- Multi-omics approaches: scRNAseq, RNAseq, ATACseq, ChIPseq, proteomics, metabolomics (steady-state and isotope tracing).

- PhD (recent graduate or near completion) in molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology, epigenetics, biochemistry, or related field.
- Strong record of research productivity with first-author publications.
- Experience with mouse models preferred.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary science.
- Candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply; diversity is strongly valued.
- Salary:
Up to $62,000 per year.
