Business Development Executive

The Buffalo News, a publication of Lee Enterprises, is seeking an energetic, skilled sales executive to drive digital multi-media account growth for new and existing accounts through prospecting, developing, and closing leads using various sources. Lee offers a wide range of digital marketing products, tools, and partners to meet advertising needs. We are the fastest growing digital subscription platform in the nation for four consecutive years.

Position

Responsibilities
  • Achieve sales goals through creative strategies; conduct client discovery interviews, meet decision makers, listen and document marketing needs, and recommend solutions in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Work with local business owners to develop advertising plans to expand their business.
  • Present marketing solutions across print media, banner display, SEO, social media, and more.
  • Cold call and prospect for new advertisers via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Collaborate with Digital Sales Specialists, Sales Managers, Creatives Services, and Account Coordinators to deliver advertising solutions.

    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent experience.
    • 3+ years in Sales, preferably in Digital Advertising.
    • Proven success in expanding sales revenue.
    • Familiarity with digital advertising technology and tools like Google Analytics.

    Pay: $55,000 - $75,000 base salary plus potential bonuses.
