Outside Sales Representative

Kozel Steel has been servicing the western New York residential and commercial construction markets with various steel products since 1960. The Tool Ranch Division was started in 2001 and adds a significant line of tools and fasteners. Our Salesmen serve our customers’ needs with both companies’ product portfolios and, as such, must become experts in the many facets of these product lines.

Our personal relationships with our clients are very important and we do our best to help them with their construction related product needs. We are problem solvers and consultants to the contracting industry and we want you to join our team as an Outside Sales Representative. Knowledge of the construction industry and experience in sales is a plus, but not required as training will be provided.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to cultivate new business from existing customers
• Obtain new customers through cold calls or referrals
• Maintain accounts with superior customer service
• Helping customer with material take-offs and problem solving
• Using software to produce quotes
• Willingness to learn and complete other duties as the need arises
• Deliver product to customers
• Bilingual skills are a strong plus but not required

• A degree in business or construction technologies, experience in prior construction material sales or experience in a related field within the building trades.

• Full time, 40 hours per week
• Some lifting is required
• Most of your time will be spent on the road visiting contractors’ job sites
