Shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm (On Call Required, Weekend/Holiday Requirement).
Responsibilities- Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees at the hospital and other Kaleida Health operated facilities.
- Direct security employees in the performance of security procedures to protect people and property.
- Under the direction of the Senior Director of Safety and Security, establish and monitor security programs at the hospital.
- Study and make recommendations on special security problems.
- Cooperate closely with local law enforcement agencies on any issues that may impact Kaleida locations.
- Manage the operations and employees of site parking and/or valet services.
- Serve as a member of site committees, including Infection Control, Radiation, Safety, Ergonomics, and Environment of Care.
- Serve as a member of corporate committees, including Environment of Care/Safety, Emergency Preparedness Team, DNV Survey Team, Security Leadership Design, and Workplace Violence Committee.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related area; or equivalent of a minimum of 60 semester hours with an emphasis in Criminal Justice/Criminology preferred.
- NYS Drivers License upon hire required.
- Licensed NYS Security Guard and Peace Officer upon hire required.
- CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.
10 years prior Security or Law Enforcement Experience required.
