About the roleOur client is seeking a highly skilled Plant Mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on plant equipment while troubleshooting mechanical and electrical processes.
Shift Schedule- 1st shift: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (Mon–Fri)
- 2nd shift: 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm (Mon–Fri)
- Assemble, install, align, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, inspect, and dismantle machinery and equipment.
- Service prime motors, PLC, programmable controllers, shaft couplings, seals, chains, belt drive systems, gear systems, pneumatic and vacuum systems, and lubrication and cooling systems.
- High school diploma or technical school; valid electrician/millwright license.
- Minimum five years of industry experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Capable of reading mechanical, electrical, and machine drawings and manufacturer maintenance manuals.
- Health and safety codes, regulations, and procedures.
- Rigging, hoisting, and fitting practices.
- PLC programming/troubleshooting.
- Canadian Electrical Code, CSA/ASTM/ANSI codes.
- Maintenance work schedule preparation and implementation.
- AC/DC drives and motor generators control systems.
- Pneumatics and hydraulics repair, calibration.
- Arc welding and brazing.
- Forklift certification.
- Precision and hand tools usage.
- Regular equipment upkeep.
- Familiar with market products and equipment.
- Safety and ISO 9001:2000 quality management system requirements.
$30–$35 per hour (depending on experience).
