Director of , University Advancement

University at Buffalo is hiring a Director of Advancement in the Division of University Advancement. This role involves building and managing a donor portfolio, cultivating and soliciting six-figure gifts, driving engagement through travel and outreach, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support strategic fundraising initiatives.

• Build and manage a donor portfolio with prospects capable of gifts of $100,000 or more.
• Conduct national travel and regular visits in Western New York to deepen relationships and expand fundraising support.
• Collaborate with advancement leaders, faculty, and volunteers to align donor engagement with university priorities.
• Maintain accurate digital records and comply with donor management best practices.
• Participate in division and university activities to foster internal partnerships and professional development.
• Required skills include strong problem solving, communication, technical/digital competence, and interpersonal skills for engaging high-net-worth individuals.
• Minimum qualifications:
  
  Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years in fund-development or revenue-generating roles with a proven record of securing six-figure gifts.
• Ability to travel up to 50% including local, regional, evenings, and occasional weekends.
• Compensation range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually.
• Position is full-time, within the University Advancement department, reporting to UB Foundation Activities.
