Software Engineer, iOS Core Product – Buffalo, USA. The mission of Speechify is to make sure that reading is never a barrier to learning. Speechify’s text-to-speech products turn PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio, helping users read faster, read more, and remember more. Products include the iOS app, Android App, Mac App, Chrome Extension, and Web App.

Today, nearly 200 people around the globe work on Speechify in a 100% distributed setting. Our team includes frontend and backend engineers, AI researchers, and professionals from major tech companies and startups.

Overview:
With the growth of our iOS app, we are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to support a growing user base and work on new projects to push our product forward. We are a flat organization where anyone can become a leader by delivering excellent technical work and results. Strong work ethic, solid communication, and a focus on winning are paramount.

Our interview process involves several technical interviews and we aim to complete them within 1 week.

• Lead key engineering and product decisions
• Actively shipping production code for the Speechify iOS app
• Work within a dedicated product team
• Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
• Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture

• Experience with products that scaled to a large user base
• Track record of engineering products from inception to traction and ownership
• Customer obsession with delivering the best possible experience
• Product thinking to support internal teams and designers
• Speed and focus in a high-growth, remote environment
• Technical skills in Swift and SwiftUI
