WSP’s Visualization and Data Intelligence (VDI) national practice provides expert support for professional services consulting initiatives. As a team characterized by energy, creativity, and results‑orientation, VDI specializes in visual design and technological innovation on projects that contribute to community development nationwide. The group’s collaborative and innovation‑centered culture enables engagement with a diverse array of complex projects and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Architect, develop, launch, and maintain scalable .NET web applications.
  • Lead front‑end development with a focus on accessibility and responsiveness.
  • Drive UI/UX design execution.
  • Create technical specs and contribute to core code and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and optimize performance.
  • Support, enhance, and maintain legacy systems.
  • Mentor team members and support business development efforts.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field; or Associate’s degree plus 10 years in related field.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • 7–10 years custom development experience with ASP.NET/C# with a strong focus on UI/UX experience.
  • Proficient in front‑end frameworks (React preferred, or Vue, Angular, Blazor), HTML5, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, and JSON.
  • Proficient in front‑end architecture, performance optimization, and cross‑browser testing.
  • Proficient in one or more database technologies (Transact‑SQL with SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
  • Proficient with geospatial tools (Mapbox, Google Maps, or ArcGIS).
  • Proficient in accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.0), front‑end build tools (Webpack, Tailwind, Vite), and SEO best practices.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft platforms, frameworks, and tools.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (Umbraco, Kentico, Site Core, Word Press, etc.).
  • Solid experience mentoring developers, leading team code reviews, and fostering continuous growth and learning within the team.
  • Proficient working in Dev Ops/ Git environment for version control with a good discipline in pull requests and merge branch operations.
  • Experience/working knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud Environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Over 10 years custom development experience with ASP.NET/C# with a strong focus on UI/UX experience.
  • Proficiency in React front‑end framework.
  • Experience in consulting or fast‑paced, multi‑project environments.
  • Experience with Umbraco CMS platform.
