Chief Technology Officer

We're recruiting for a CTO with a growing fintech that is putting traditionally illiquid assets, starting with mortgages and private credit, on-chain. The platform is live and the regulatory groundwork is done. The founders also bring real institutional relationships. You'd lead the technical integration of a traditional lending business onto the platform, then own engineering and product going forward. This is a build‑phase seat with real ownership, not a maintenance role.

Location: Fully remote in the U.S.

Compensation: $250-$350K base + equity + milestone-based bonus + benefits (employer-paid individual health coverage, 401(k) match, flexible PTO)

Must-Haves:

• Player-coach who still writes code and reviews architecture while leading a team
• Mortgage or lending technology background (servicing, origination, vendor ecosystem)
• Enough blockchain fluency to direct and review the work. You don't need to author smart contracts.
• Experience leading a technical integration after an acquisition
• Comfortable working with legal and compliance in a regulated environment

Strong Pluses:

• Hands‑on tokenization, custody, or digital asset experience
• Experience with EVM chains or Solidity
• Experience leading both engineering and product teams
• Prior early‑stage or growth‑stage fintech experience
• Experience migrating legacy (Web2) systems onto a new platform
