Job Details

Experience as a Head Coach is preferred, but candidates with experience as an assistant coach or a background in flag or tackle football will also be considered. The Coach is responsible for developing a competitive and well-rounded program that upholds the College’s standards of academic success, character development, and athletic excellence.

This position requires strong leadership, recruitment skills, and a deep understanding of team culture and student engagement. The Head Coach will work closely with the Athletic Director to manage the team, enforce College and athletic policies, and support student-athletes on and off the field.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruit and retain student‑athletes to meet program enrollment goals, minimum roster size, and scholarship budget guidelines.
  • Promote academic success by monitoring the academic performance and classroom engagement of all team members.
  • Collaborate with the Athletic Director to develop and manage the team schedule, including practices, games, and travel arrangements.
  • Ensure the program operates within budget guidelines, including ordering equipment, managing inventory, and processing purchase orders.
  • Foster sportsmanship and team culture that represents the College positively in the community and among peers.
  • Lead daily practices and coach the team in games and tournaments.
  • Accurately maintain and input recruitment, admissions, and marketing data.
  • Ensure compliance with Bryant & Stratton College policies and governing bodies such as the USCAA where applicable.
  • Manage all student‑athlete inquiries and follow‑ups through the College’s CRM system.
Position Requirements
  • Associate degree required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous coaching experience in flag football, tackle football, or a related sport at the high school level or above.
  • Strong understanding of flag football rules and strategies (USA Football or NAIA flag football experience is a plus).
  • Ability to recruit, motivate, and mentor student‑athletes.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Must serve as a positive role model for student‑athletes both on and off the field.
Compensation and Work Hours

This is a Part‑time, exempt position. Work hours will vary to meet the demands of recruiting, student engagement, practice schedules, and competitions. Evening, weekend, and occasional overnight travel will be required.

Compensation is an annual stipend of $25,000.

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate of the base pay for this position. Information about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.
